I, Mary Ann Miller, formerly Mary Ann Leahy wife of 
John B. Miller grant to Daniel F. Leahy all that certain 
real property situated in the former Pueblo de San Jose de 
Guadalupe, now the City of San Jose in the County of Santa 
Clara, described as follows: A lot or messuage of lend situ- 
ated in the South end of the former Pueblo de San Jose dé 
Guadalupe now the city of San Jose said lot being bounded 
on the West by the lot cf Daniel Leahy Jr., as granted to 
him by the Alcalde cf said Pueblo on March 16th 1846 and 
on the North by a road from the main road to a Creek said 
lot containing 100 varas square and being further know as 
Lot 10 of Lymans Survey of the cone hundred vara lots in the 
Southern part of the City of San Jose, The said premises 
having been conveyed to me by grant from Charles White, 
Alcalde of the Pueblo de San Jose de Guadalupe now the City 
of San Jose, dated March 16th 1848 and recorded in Book 2 
page 9 record of Alcalde Grants now in the Recorders cffice 


of Santa Clara County.

Dated September 26, 1899 

Resolved, That the President and Secretary of the Har- 
rison Home Company be and the same are hereby authorized, 
empowered and directed to sell, contract to sell, mortgage, 
lease and convey any and all property of said corporation 
on such terms as they may deem best and advisable and the 
said President and Secretary are hereby authorized, em- 
powered and directed to execute all deeds, mortgages, re- 
leases, leases. or other instruments necessary to carry into 
effect the salés, mortgages, léases or ctherwise herein 
provided. 

IT, Olive M. Harrison, Secretary of the Harrison Home 
Company do hereby certify and declare that the fcregoing is 
a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed at the 
meeting of the Board of Directors of said Corporation held 
on the 26th day of September 1899 and that at said meeting 
four directors were present, constituting a quorum of said 
Board of Directors and said resolution was adopted by the
